Our time at the Bobie house was great, the house was clean, spacious and exactly as described on the website. The pool was fantastic, very clean and well maintained. The setting was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and our 2 teenage sons really enjoyed their stay. The pool table, table tennis and trampoline were very popular. It is definitely a holiday home that we would be happy to return to. Brian J

We had a lovely stay at Bobie and would recommend it to others. For anyone wanting a quiet holiday it is ideal and very peaceful. Waki was great, no fuss and left us to our own devices during the week. If we'd needed help I'm sure he would have given it. Thank you to you for your patience and assistance in booking at the beginning and we have found dealing with French Gite Holidays has been a good experience and wouldn't hesitate to use you again. Spacious private, clean.Nice host very friendly helpful and generous.The pool is fantastic large with longchairs and plenty of shady places.We enjoyed the table tennis. To Duras bakery is a 15 minutes walk, supermarket is close by too both 3-4 minutes by car.In Duras a castle to visit and restaurants.The house has thick walls so it is cool inside and the bedrooms have aircon which is very nice in summer. We our 2 boys 16/18 had a very good stay and we certainly recommend it.Isabel C

Lovely property in a fabulous location.Secluded but within 15/20 minutes walk to Duras and 5 minutes by car to local supermarket.Spotlessly clean with great facilities.Pool table table tennis and pool were great. Owner was lovely making sure we knew where everything was ensuring we knew he was available if needed but did not intrude other than to pop in on the day we left to ensure we’d enjoyed our stay.Couldn’t fault it would definitely return Sue S

Bobie met our needs quite well, the owners were friendly, helpful, and discreet, and the location peaceful, spacious, with a good pool. Air-con in two bedrooms was great, and very welcome. Overall, well equipped and priced appropriately to provide a good value break. Mary S

We (two parents, two boys 16/18 y.) had a wonderful week at Bobie. The pool is fantastic, the house is very spacious and clean, the garden looks good and offers plenty of shadow places. The view over the fields is nice too. The owner was very helpful and generous. We enjoyed the table tennis area (in the shade under a party tent) and we liked the biljart (in a side room) as well. The airconditioning kept the (large) bedrooms really cool and the house itself is cool by its thick walls.

...Duras is 15 min. walking (3 min by car) to the bakery and the (quite big) supermarket just a little bit further. There are a few restaurants in Duras and a nice castle to visit. We recommand Bobie, it certainly is value for money. We had a great week! Christine V

Bobie is a beautiful place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. French Gite Holidays were very helpful and replied quickly to our questions.
The pool and gardens were stunning, being close to Duras was great for trips to the chateau, cafes and restaurants, market and bakery. The night market in Duras was lots of fun. We stayed with our children who are under 10 and they had a great time playing in the pool and bouncing on the trampoline. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds

...very comfy. The air conditioning was very welcome when the temperature was high. The table tennis and pool table were great for evening fun and it was lovely sitting outside having a bbq and listening to the crickets in the evenings. The stars at night were an incredible sight-all in all a wonderful place to spend a holiday. The owners were welcoming and friendly. Thank you Matthieu and Marie!

I would definitely recommend French Gite Holidays and Bobie Farmhouse. French Gite Holidays made the process of booking the villa very easy and were always on hand to answer any questions. Bev also was kind enough to offer to arrange to do a food shop for us and organise the purchase of inflatables as we were not arriving at the villa until very late

Bobie Farmhouse was amazing, it was 1km from a lovely town full of little cafes and restaurants and shops (including a Carrefour for food shopping) and a lovely chateau. The farm house was a mixture of modern but keeping the traditional feel of the villa. It had everything we needed - air conditioning, English TV, books, games, huge pool area, sunbeds, fully equiped kitchen, snooker table, BBQ area and outside patio area under cover

...it was a fantastic base to visit the rest of the small villages around. We will definitely return to Bobie Farmhouse as it was fantastic value for money and it made our holiday!

This is a lovely property which is well equipped and which meets every need. Lovely pool area, great barbecue and just a wonderful place to relax. Located in a rural setting but yet only 3 or 4 minutes drive to the local supermarket and the centre of Duras. When something is so good, it's hard to know what to write. To sum it up, it's great place to stay.

We had an excellent time. Bobie was situated just right; very close to the centre of Duras, but isolated enought for complete peace and quiet. The house was comfortable with plenty of room, but the star was the garden/pool. A mature garden and excellent clean pool were surrounded by meadows and woods. The best we have stayed in in 10 years coming to the area.

Bobie was very good, we had no problems during our stay - pool, kitchen, comfy beds, sunbeds and air con were all very good. The property is lovely and has excellent facilities and I did one day walk into town for fresh bread and patisserie. The rest of the time it was just too hot to walk! BBQ evenings on Friday night at Domaine du Grand Mayne are lovely as is the Duras nocturnal market with a great vibe.

The Gite was very spacious, clean, well equipped, private, peaceful and the perfect location for a relaxing break. Claire was very helpful and kept us informed throughout the process of booking.Our Daughter fell ill and the owner could not help enough offering to take us to the local hospital at any time of the day/night.Very friendly people who go out of their way to make your stay a good one.

Lynda & Waki are brilliant hosts. Always on hand when needed but never intrusive. Great home grown tomatoes from Waki. The property is furnished to a very high standard. Our 2 granddaughters loved the pool and table tennis. We loved Duras and the surrounding areas. Claire at French Gite Holidays makes sure the admin work runs smoothly. All in all a fantastic time was had by all the people in our party.

The gite was light, airy, spotlessly clean and better equipped than our own home. The outside are was even better than expected; lovely garden with wooded area, sparkling pool, beautiful views over wild flower meadows and totally private. Linda and Wacky were wonderful hosts although they wouldn't intrude on you once unless you needed something and then it was ordered, sorted out that day. Very efficient and simple booking process.

Thank you for providing such a wonderful retreat. We have stayed in gites throughout France for over thirty years: there is no question that Bobie was the best we have ever experienced. The facilities were first class and the hospitality was excellent. We hope to return! An extremely well-equiped property in a delightful location. (They have just rebooked!)

Very clean, very spacious and very comfortable. Everything was as clean as we would have done it ourselves. Lynda has done an especially good job keeping the pool and its surrounding areas clean and attractive. We had to try and get some important medication for our daughter and Lynda spent the whole of one morning with us getting resolved. This would have been a big problem without her assistance. There were no other problems.

Both the gite and the surrounding gardens were beautifully kept.We were very pleased with the quality of our accommodation and it was excellent value for money. We were made very welcome by the owners and we were happy to socialise with them on two occasions. Lynda and Waki are lovely characters.
They gave us our privacy at all times but were there if we needed them.
